The Flying Cow Farm has a private glider
field that is closed to the general public. The airfield is normally open
from April 15th to December 1st. The farm is the home of a few heads of
polled Hereford cattle and an interesting collection of antique and classic
sailplanes and powered airplanes. Visitors are asked to observe the directions
below.
Please park your car by the pinetrees along the south edge of the
property.
Keep children under close supervision. Enter the hangars only when
accompanied by a glider owner or pilot. Do not touch the gliders. Dogs must
be on a leash.
There is a rest room on the west side of second hangar. There is
a telephone in the lounge in the first hangar. Local or credit card
calls only, please.
Do not walk on the runway or adjacent areas during flying operations.
The glider towrope is difficult to see, and can cause serious injury.
You may feed the fish and turtles, swim, pet the animals or explore the
property when no conflict exists with takeoffs or landings. Please check
with the owners before you do.
